The Flour Pot’s Summer of Edible Goodness

We will donate a school meal to an impoverished child in developing country for every customer that we serve through our retail and farmers market sales efforts, one for one.
In honor of Co-Owner Bryan Judah’s grandfather beginning June 8th, the one year anniversary of his passing, The Flour Pot Bakery will start a three month social campaign of giving that is designed create awareness of and contribute towards the solution to one of the most serious issues facing the world today, world hunger.

For three months we are embarking on a Summer of Edible Goodness in which we are going to donate a school meal to an impoverished child in developing country for every customer that we serve through our retail and farmers market sales efforts, one for one.

To give you a little information on the problem, currently every six seconds a child dies because of hunger and related causes. Also, while you may not believe it, in the world today there are over one billion who do not have enough to eat, which is more than 15% of the global population. Those are just a couple of the facts; you will learn more that will open your eyes even further later. As you can see this is a big problem, and it is getting worse, not better.
